  1.          About the StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 to 2.0.1 Updater

  4. There is a bug in StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 that can happen, not always, but once is
  5. too much.  It occurs when converting a 1.5.1 archive using the "Convert Archive"
  6. menu item in StuffIt Deluxe.  It can also occur if you have the "Convert Archive
  7. On Open" option set in the StuffIt Deluxe preferences.  The archive is not
  8. converted correctly and StuffIt Deluxe may report that the "Archive has been
  9. Corrupted".  Converting archives with the SIT Converter works without any problems.

  11. The StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 to 2.0.1 updater will update the StuffIt Deluxe application
  12. to fix this problem.  If you have converted any files with the 2.0 application and
  13. experienced the problem, you can use the "File Fixer" to fix an archive.
  14. To update the application, do the following:

  16. 1. Turn off any virus program, if you have one. (It may think that the updater is
  17.    intalling a virus - no need to worry, it is not!)
  18. 2. Launch the "Dlx 2.0 -> 2.0.1 Update" application
  19. 3. A dialog will appear asking you to select the your copy of StuffIt Deluxe 2.0
  20. 4. Select the program and click Open.
  21. 5. The application will be updated to 2.0.1
  22. 6. Turn your virus  program, if you turned it off in step 1.
